Today, we went to Istana of Singapore where located at Orchard Road (Central Distric of Singapore). Usually, the Istana is closed for the public, only the istana are open for the public annually in celebration of the following occassions:
- Chinese new year
- Deepavali
- Hari Raya Puasa
- Labour day
- National day
Starting from our house at 10 am, take bus to Pasir Ris MRT then continue to Dhoby Ghaut MRT, after that just walkaway approx. 200mtr (beside the Singapore Plaza) from Dhoby Ghaut MRT we can reach there.
Admission to the Istana grounds is free for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. Others, including foreign visitors, are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person. Entrance to the grounds is via the main gate at Orchard Road. Opening hours are usually from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.
First impression is that the design for gardening and the istana is look like the same as Istana in Bogor, but here is very well maintain. So, clean and nice looking :).
While we walked sorround the garden, we met Bro Ronni's family and our neighbour Mrs. Linda, then we saw student's musical orchestra (is it correct? :D) Pls see the pictures for more detail.
When my family take a rest for a while at student's musical orchestra concert, I went to take some picture in front of istana. Here is some pictures has taken by me.
After seeing the second student's musical orchestra, the we decided to go home at around 1.30pm.
My daughter and sons is very enjoying and happy went there. Is it because of cheap? :D Ups... no comments :))
